Within minutes, there are so many reasons to love BATTS. Firstly, the rather great name (coming from Tanya Batt, one half of the duo along Alisdair Mason). Secondly, the expert use of comma in For That, I’m Sorry. Thirdly the song itself, which is a supreme electronic pop cut that feels like it’s from a band beyond the age of just two songs (their first one – also below – bridges the gap between London Grammar and The xx). That they seem to be working long-distance between Australia and England makes the intimacy of this even more impressive; basically, you’re about to go BATTS-shit mental for this lot.
