Poor Rod Thomas. If most of his recent Bright Light Bright Light output is to be believed, it sounds like he’s a had right old number done on his heart. Of course, while part of us wants to go give the handsome Welshman a tight cuddle, another part sort of relishes the material it brings out.
We’re awful people, we know, but don’t judge us too harshly until you’ve heard This Is Me Without You (from the excellent new Moves EP). Whether you call it emo-pop or disco-balladry, it’s disarmingly touching in that typical BLBL way: simple, to the point, and oh-so relatable. Now excuse us while we go off and cry in a corner.
