Sea Span – Winter Sublet

We love a nice little hidden gem here at PressPLAY, and Sea Span certainly feel like one (either that or we’ve just been blind and ignorant). The Philadelphia band’s track Winter Sublet (great name, awful bureaucratic implications) is a month old now, but it remains a supremely lilting bit of indie-folk. Or, according to the brilliant bio: “kind of Sheryl Crow-ish crossed with a post-Partridge Family pre-L.A. Law Susan Dey kind of thing, but, you know, uh, black.” Brilliant.
