Right, then. This one’s got a set of lungs on her hasn’t she? That’s the first thought we had when listening to young Londoner Jade Hopcroft‘s Heart Is Black. She’s very much cut from the same cloth as the new wave of UK singer-songwriters such as Frances and the like, a huge powerhouse vocal soaring above sufficiently low-key production. What’s remarkable is how much control she has over it at such an early stage; there’s an EP coming soon and if it’s anything like this, it’s sure to be a good ‘un.
